CLAN FARQUHARSON GATHERING 2026
11–13 August 2026 • Braemar & Ballater
We have opened the bookings for the Clan Farquharson Gathering 2026, taking place 11–13 August in the heart of Braemar and Ballater.
Here is the itinerary.
Tuesday 11 August — Clan Dinner
The Gathering opens with our formal Clan Dinner at the Ballater Golf Club, beginning with a drinks reception at 6.30pm and dining at 7.00pm.
The dinner is £55 per person, and guests are asked to submit their menu choices in advance.
Wednesday 12 August — Visit to the Clan Cairn
Meet at the parking area by 1.30pm for a prompt start at the Cairn at 2.00pm.
This is a free event and open to all attendees.
If you wish to lay a memorial stone and say a few words, or would like a loved one acknowledged at the Cairn, please let us know in advance at FarquharsonGathering@gmail.com.
Wednesday 12 August — Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea will be served at the Café at the Highland Games Pavilion in Braemar from 3.15pm.
Guests may pre‑book (£8 per person) or pay à la carte on arrival.
Includes tea or coffee, a scone, and a traybake.
Wednesday 12 August — AGM (Members Only)
The Annual General Meeting of the Clan Farquharson UK Society will take place at 4.30pm at the Highland Games Pavilion in Braemar.
Open to Society members in good standing.
Thursday 13 August — Ballater Highland Games
Admission is required to attend the Games Day Tent Lunch.
Tickets for the Ballater Highland Games may be purchased in advance on their website or at the gate on the day.
Thursday 13 August — Games Day Tent Lunch
Lunch will be served at the Clan Tent between 12.00pm and 2.00pm.
This event must be pre‑booked.
Price: £15 per person.
There are also other catering outlets available throughout the Games.
