Gathering 2025

This is the draft programme for our Gathering in 2025.

Monday 11 August 2025. No event. Arrive in Ballater/Braemar. 

Tues 12 August 2025. Afternoon, presentation of new colours to Clan Chief by a VERY special VIP. (see below).  Evening Clan Dinner. 

Wed 13 August 2025. Morning AGM. Afternoon visit to Cairn. 

Thurs 14 August 2025. Ballater Highland Games. 

Friday 15 August 2025. Homeward.

PRESENTATION OF NEW COLOURS 

This is a special, once-in-a-lifetime event, and clan members are encouraged to attend, including members from overseas. . 

This will take place as a public event within the programme of Ballater Victoria Week, on Church Green, Ballater. There will be processions down the main street of the new flag and pipe banners, followed by a procession of clan members headed by the Clan Chief and the Ballater & District Pipe band. 

After the presentation of the colours the pipe band will give a display before leading all clan members and dignitaries to the Victoria Hall where it is hoped to have a tribute to the late Captain Farquharson and a drinks reception. 

We appreciate that our usual programme has been amended in order to accommodate this event.

We will be calling for volunteers to act as banner bearers, pipers, marshalls, guides etc. Details will appear here as they are decided, and will be emailed to clan members.
